Calciphylaxis: the beginning of the end?

Calciphylaxis incidence decreased significantly, possibly due to reduced calcium salt use and switching to hemodialysis (HD). Monitoring ionized calcium levels may have contributed to the high incidence in peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients.
