BIS does not predict dreams reported after anaesthesia

Dreaming during anesthesia is common, occurring in 8% of patients. This study found no link between anesthesia depth, measured by BIS levels, and the occurrence of dreams, suggesting dreaming is unrelated to insufficient anesthesia.

- Further research may be needed to understand the underlying mechanisms of intraoperative dreaming.
