Lessons from Mycobacterium avium complex-associated pneumonitis: a case report

Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) lung disease can occur without hot tub exposure. This case shows MAC-associated pneumonitis involves a strong immune response to infection, suggesting combined anti-infective and anti-inflammatory treatments.
