Summary

Early intervention programs, including the Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program (NIDCAP) and Infant Health and Development Program (IHDP), significantly improve outcomes for at-risk infants. Combined parent-child interventions yield the greatest cognitive and interactional benefits.
