Abstract:
Although the nursing profession is regulated, in hospital unit some of the nurse's tasks have shifted from the nurse to the nurse's aid. Even though the different existing decrees are indeed brought to the students' knowledge, they do not seem to have integrated the content of these texts in their professional practice. In the current context of quality improvement and risk management, the present study proposes to explore the link between initial training and the positions of recent graduates concerning the issue of nurse's aids performing nurses' duties. The study is based on the analysis of a nursing school and of the hospital to which it is attached. The survey, based on semi-directives interviews with teachers and recent graduates, shows many situations where the position of the recently graduated nurse and nurse's aid as regards to responsibility and analysis of the risks is not very clear.
