Our experience in the application of lipofilling

Purpose of the Study:

• To present the experience with autologous fat grafting for soft tissue defect reconstruction, facial rejuvenation, and body contouring.
• To evaluate the outcomes and complications of lipofilling procedures.

Main Methods:

• Autologous fat grafts were harvested via lipoaspiration from May 2003 to May 2005.
• Grafts underwent subsequent treatment before re-injection into recipient sites.
• The study included 13 patients at the Department of Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery.

Main Results:

• Preliminary results are available due to short-term patient follow-up.
• Common recipient site complications included partial graft resorption and cyst formation.
• Donor site complications were primarily hematoma.
