[Evaluation of the surgical risk in lung parenchyma resection]

Due to the high incidence of lung cancer and widely performed lung parenchyma resection, evaluation of respiratory function is a crucial aspect of patient's comfort and life quality. A method of choice is a surgical lung cancer treatment. Ablation of the lung tumor is related with loss of the active respiratory surface; thus evaluation of respiratory reserves and postoperative respiratory function is so an important aspect of patient qualification for a surgical treatment. Improvement of anaesthetic care along with surgical technique enables patients, with the higher surgical risk, to be qualified for surgery.
