We developed a simple geometrical criterion for detecting quantum entanglement, offering experimentally accessible sufficient conditions. A generalized version provides a necessary and sufficient condition, expanding on existing entanglement identifiers.
Area of Science:
- Quantum Information Science
- Quantum Physics
- Mathematical Physics
Background:
- Entanglement is a fundamental quantum phenomenon crucial for quantum information processing.
- Detecting and quantifying entanglement experimentally remains a significant challenge in quantum physics.
- Existing methods like entanglement witnesses have limitations in their scope and applicability.
Purpose of the Study:
- To introduce a novel geometrical criterion for identifying quantum entanglement.
- To establish experimentally friendly sufficient conditions for entanglement detection.
- To generalize this criterion into a necessary and sufficient condition and compare it with existing entanglement identifiers.
Main Methods:
- Formulation of a simple geometrical criterion based on specific mathematical properties.
- Generalization of the geometrical criterion to encompass a broader range of entanglement scenarios.
- Comparative analysis of the proposed criterion with established entanglement witnesses and identifiers.
Main Results:
- A straightforward geometrical criterion provides sufficient conditions for entanglement that are amenable to experimental verification.
- The generalized criterion establishes a necessary and sufficient condition for entanglement.
- The newly identified family of entanglement identifiers is shown to be strictly more comprehensive than the family of entanglement witnesses.
Conclusions:
- The proposed geometrical criterion offers a practical and powerful tool for entanglement detection in experiments.
- The generalized condition provides a complete characterization of entanglement, surpassing the limitations of previous methods.
- This work significantly advances the field of quantum entanglement characterization and experimental verification.

The chair form is the most stable and derives its name from its resemblance to the “easy chair.” In the chair conformation, two carbon atoms are arranged out-of-plane — one above and one below, minimizing the torsional strain. In the chair form, the bond angle is very close to the ideal tetrahedral value,...
