Morphological evidence for phages in Xylella fastidiosa

This study reports the first physical evidence of active bacteriophages released by Xylella fastidiosa bacteria. Transmission electron microscopy revealed various phage particles, including icosahedral and filamentous types, associated with this plant pathogen.
