Abstract:
The present status of computer utilization in cancer clinical trials as regards trial planning, data management, statistical analysis and dissemination of knowledge is reviewed and some proposals for designing a new system are presented. In Japan, the importance of a statistical center for collaborative clinical trials has come to be recognized and interdisciplinary discussion on computer information system is just beginning.
