Summary

This study suggests that blocking alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid/kainate receptors and using dopamine D2 receptor partial agonists may help treat nicotine addiction. A case study showed reduced smoking with these agents.
