Posttransplant diabetes mellitus (PTDM) is a common kidney transplant complication. Higher hepatitis C virus (HCV) positivity, BMI, and certain immunosuppressants increase PTDM risk, but the Ahmedabad Tolerance Induction Protocol (ATIP) appears safer.
