[Cutting and incision instruments: incising forceps]

Incising forceps enable one to cut, divide and separate sections of tissue for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes. Their singular usage makes them present in a large number of specialized surgical interventions. They are specialized for use on soft tissue and bone tissue; depending on the manner by which surgeons incise a patient, they are specialized. Moreover the most highly specialized incising forceps are those used in endoscope techniques and in microsurgery The author presents a review of these surgical instruments which he hopes will be of interest to surgical nurses and to all professionals connected to operation wards.
