Summary

A new chitosan adsorbent, Chitopearl 2503, shows higher bovine serum albumin (BSA) adsorption capacity than DEAE Sepharose. Adsorption is pH-dependent and sensitive to salt concentration, indicating electrostatic interactions are key.
