Background:

Angle-closure glaucoma is a major cause of irreversible blindness globally.
Treatments focus on widening the anterior chamber angle and lowering intraocular pressure (IOP).
Laser iridotomy is a common first step, but laser peripheral iridoplasty is an option when iridotomy fails.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the effectiveness of laser peripheral iridoplasty for non-acute angle-closure.
To compare laser peripheral iridoplasty with other interventions in managing narrow angles, primary angle-closure (PAC), and primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG).

Searches were conducted in major databases including CENTRAL, MEDLINE, EMBASE, and LILACS.
Studies involving acute angle-closure crisis were excluded.
