Summary

This study reports the first case of parosteal lipoma in the frontal region of a young man. The rare head and neck tumor presented as a forehead mass, successfully treated with surgical excision.

Background:

Parosteal lipomas are rare benign tumors characterized by their location on the bone surface.
Lipomas of the head and neck are uncommon, with parosteal variants being exceptionally rare.
No previous cases of parosteal lipoma in the frontal bone have been documented.

Observation:

A 20-year-old male presented with a forehead mass causing cosmetic concerns.
Computed tomography (CT) imaging demonstrated an osseous projection with irregular cortex and adjacent soft tissue swelling.
Surgical excision revealed a large, well-defined, encapsulated yellowish mass.

Findings:

Histopathological examination confirmed the mass to be composed of mature adipose tissue.
The final diagnosis was parosteal lipoma.
