Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) reveals distinct brain activation patterns in Parkinsonian syndromes. Parkinson's disease (PD) patients show increased activation in certain areas, while progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) patients exhibit widespread cortical dysfunction.
