Summary

Serum Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) aids in diagnosing prostate cancer but may lead to over-treatment of slow-growing tumors. This study observed slightly elevated PSA in latent tumors, especially with benign prostatic hyperplasia, suggesting a need for refined diagnostic criteria.
