Hemodynamic changes during retrograde left-heart catheterization in patients with aortic stenosis

Accurate measurement of right-heart pressures in aortic stenosis patients requires avoiding catheter placement across the aortic valve. Transaortic catheterization can falsely elevate pulmonary artery pressures, impacting surgical risk assessment.
