Modified Long Head of Biceps Tendon Rerouting and Fixation as Partial Capsular Reconstruction for Massive Irreparable Rotator Cuff Tears

  • Mean TAM achieved significant improvement by 12 weeks post-surgery (249.5 degrees).
  • Grip strength reached approximately 75% and 90% of the contralateral hand at 12 weeks and 6 months, respectively.

Conclusions:

  • Single-stage reconstruction is a viable option for complex extensor tendon injuries.
  • This method appears to reduce hospitalization and treatment costs.
