  • To enhance GP knowledge and clinical practice in men's sexual and reproductive health through a TTT program.

  • A national TTT program focused on men's sexual and reproductive health was implemented by Monash University's Department of General Practice.
  • Over three years, 40 GP trainers were educated to lead sessions on androgen deficiency, erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, and male infertility.
  • These trainers subsequently educated 568 GPs across 33 Australian divisions.

Main Results:

  • GP trainers were identified as a valuable resource for delivering GP training.
  • Trainers acted as experienced role models, providing relevant and practical education to colleagues.

Conclusions:

  • The TTT model, despite being resource-intensive, proved effective in enhancing GP knowledge and clinical practice.
