Increased intraepithelial T-cells in stable COPD

Intraepithelial T-cells, specifically CD4+ and CD8+ subtypes, are elevated in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients. These findings suggest a significant role for these T-cells in the inflammatory processes associated with COPD.
