Summary

Bacterial keratitis, a serious eye infection, can arise from corneal epithelial defects, especially in those with recurrent corneal erosions. Prompt, aggressive treatment is crucial to prevent vision-threatening complications.

  • Ophthalmic examination revealed a significant corneal epithelial defect with a dense, milky-white stromal infiltrate and anterior chamber inflammation.
  • Clinical presentation suggested a potentially severe infectious or inflammatory process affecting the cornea.
