Summary

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) offers superior fetal central nervous system (CNS) examination compared to ultrasonography (USG), providing better resolution and accuracy for detecting malformations. While MRI accurately assesses cortical maturation in normal fetuses, USG remains better for bony skull defects.
