Abstract:
The 4-layer sphere model of human head was built; the layers from outside to inside represented the scalp, the skull, the CFS and the brain, respectively. The point current source placed on the outmost layer was regarded as the boundary condition, and the method of separation of variables was used to solve the equations. The potential distribution and the current expression were given, and the isopotential-line map and current lines were drawn. The simulation result can be used to analyze head EIT problems.

Calculations of Electric Potential I
The ring is divided into infinitesimal small arcs such that point M is equidistant from all the arcs. Here, the cylindrical coordinate system is used to calculate the electric potential at point M. A general element of the arc between angles θ and θ + dθ is of the length Rdθ and has a charge of λRdθ.
Electric Field of a Non Uniformly Charged Sphere
Consider a non-uniformly charged sphere, for which the density of charge depends only on the distance from a point in space and not on the direction. Such a sphere has a spherically symmetrical charge distribution. Here, the electric...
Mesh Analysis with Current Sources
Current Source in One Mesh: The analysis process is straightforward when a current source is found in only one mesh within the circuit. Mesh currents are assigned as usual, with the mesh containing the current source excluded from the analysis. Kirchhoff's voltage law (KVL)...
Determining Electric Field From Electric Potential
In general, regardless of whether the electric field is uniform, it points in the direction of decreasing potential because the force on a positive...
Nodal Analysis with Voltage Sources

Biot-Savart Law: Problem-Solving
Consider a mobile phone battery bank as a source of steady current, which flows through the wire connected between the two. What is the magnitude of the magnetic field created by this current at a field point P?
To estimate the magnitude of the total magnetic field, we first consider a small current element of length dl, at a distance r from the field point. Now the following...
