- In study 2, ADIPOQ SNP rs266729 was also associated with decreased risk.
- Combined analysis confirmed rs266729 is associated with reduced colorectal cancer risk (AOR, 0.73; 95% CI, 0.53-0.99).

- The single-nucleotide polymorphism rs266729 in the ADIPOQ gene is associated with a decreased risk of colorectal cancer.
- This SNP tags the 5' flanking region of the ADIPOQ gene.
- Findings suggest a genetic link between the adiponectin pathway and colorectal cancer susceptibility.
