Occupational health nurses' attitudes toward cancer
Abstract:
Attitudes toward cancer held by a study population of 100 occupational health nurses were not significantly different than a normative reference group and did not indicate a negative attitude toward cancer. The majority of the literature reviewed supported a more negative attitude toward cancer than exhibited by either the normative group or the occupational health nurses in this study. Since this study was limited to one geographic location, a population of occupational health nurses in a different geographical area should be studied and the results compared to further establish reliability.
