Summary

Generalized epileptic seizures may involve autoimmune dysfunction. Researchers found specific antibodies, anti-acetylcholine receptor antibody (A AchR Ab) and anti-synaptic premembrane antibody (A PrM Ab), in patients with absence seizures, generalized tonic-clonic seizures, and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome.
