  • Two 4-year-old female patients presented with lesions in the inferior fornix of the conjunctiva.
  • Histopathological examination revealed the lesions to be granulomas.

Findings:

  • Both cases were confirmed as cotton-material-induced conjunctival granulomas.
  • The etiology was traced back to foreign material, likely cotton fibers.

Implications:

  • This highlights the diagnostic challenge posed by foreign body conjunctival granulomas.
  • Ophthalmologists should consider iatrogenic or environmental foreign bodies in the differential diagnosis of conjunctival lesions.
