Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess the general public's knowledge, attitudes, and risk perceptions regarding tuberculosis (TB).
  • To identify knowledge gaps in TB transmission and curability among populations experiencing health disparities.

Main Methods:

  • Utilized data from the 2000-2005 US National Health Interview Survey (NHIS).
  • Analyzed TB knowledge, attitudes, and risk perceptions across the general population and specific demographic subgroups.
