Capecitabine: have we got the dose right?

The oral chemotherapy drug capecitabine is increasingly replacing 5-fluorouracil due to similar efficacy and toxicity. However, a universal starting dose is not ideal due to patient variability and geographical differences in capecitabine toxicity.
