    Purpose of the Study:

    • To observe concurrent infections with hepatitis A and B.
    • To determine if infection with one virus affects the other or disease severity.

    • Studied HBsAg-positive and HBsAg-negative individuals during a hepatitis A outbreak.
    • Documented hepatitis A infections via antibody seroconversion.
