Abstract:
Solvent extraction of gallium(III) into methyl isobutyl ketone from hydrochloric acid solutions containing titanium (III) sulphate provides a rapid method for separation of gallium from an iron/aluminium matrix and may be employed to eliminate the interference of these elements in the flame emission spectrometric determination of gallium.
