Abstract:
The short-term oxidation of chalcopyrite ores and concentrates, during storage, can be monitored by measuring the absorbance of the purple Cu(I)-biquinoline complex that is formed when powdered samples are agitated directly with a water-acetone solution of 2,2'-biquinoline.
