Abstract:
Atomic-absorption spectrometric methods are described for the determination of metals and silicon in a fly-ash which is produced during oil recovery from Alberta tar sands. The techniques of standard additions and matrix matching are compared. An experimental design for the detection, estimation and correction of interference effects arising in the determination of specific elements in the fly-ash is presented.
