Abstract:
A series of commercial indicators in N,N-dimethylformamide has been established. Their chromaticity coordinates, transition pH ranges, pH of maximum colour change, optimum concentration for titration, quality of colour change and the effect of ionic strength have been determined. A variety of acids and their mixtures have been titrated to test the indicators.
