Abstract:
A simple but accurate potentiometric method for the estimation of certain sulphur containing organic compounds has been developed, based on their oxidation with 1-chlorobenzotriazole. A back-titration procedure can also be used. The nature of oxidation in different media is discussed and the oxidation products have been identified.
