Aortic reconstruction surgery offers long-term symptom relief for patients with critical ischemia due to aorto-occlusive disease. While early complications exist, survival and graft patency rates are encouraging, with most patients experiencing significant improvement.

- Four patients developed new claudication, and one required amputation due to progressive distal disease.

- Post-operative patient attrition is primarily linked to comorbid cardiovascular conditions, not graft failure after the first year.
