Summary

Sevoflurane anesthesia impairs diaphragmatic function at high concentrations (2 MAC). This study in dogs shows reduced transdiaphragmatic pressure during phrenic nerve stimulation, indicating weakened diaphragm function under deep sevoflurane anesthesia.

Purpose of the Study:
