    • Aged SAMP10 mice exhibited significantly reduced Akt(Ser473) phosphorylation compared to control SAMR1 mice.
    • SAMP10 mice at 6 months of age showed impaired performance in learning and memory tasks.

    Conclusions:

    • Age-related decline in Akt(Ser473) phosphorylation occurs in the hippocampus of SAMP10 mice.
    • These findings suggest a potential association between altered Akt(Ser473) signaling and age-related memory deficits in this model.
