Hormonal Regulation of the Menstrual Cycle

The ovarian cycle regulates endometrial changes throughout a single menstrual cycle via the coordinated action of gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) and gonadotrophins.

Summary

Menstrual migraine, often linked to estrogen changes, affects women more than men. Prophylactic treatment is available, but hormonal therapy carries risks and should be a last resort.
