When should we perform prophylactic antibiotics in elective cesarean cases?

Administering prophylactic antibiotics before or after umbilical cord clamping during cesarean delivery does not impact maternal or neonatal infectious complications. This finding suggests current timing protocols are effective for preventing infections in both mothers and newborns.
