Electrodeposition is a technique used to separate an analyte from interferents by electrochemical processes. Background:

The scrape-off layer (SOL) width is a critical parameter in magnetic confinement fusion devices like NSTX.
Controlling the SOL width is essential for optimizing plasma performance and device longevity.
Previous methods for SOL width control have limitations.

Purpose of the Study:

To investigate the efficacy of a novel linear electrode array for controlling the scrape-off layer width in NSTX.
To create a strong local poloidal electric field using biased electrodes to influence plasma behavior.
To analyze the impact of localized electrode biasing on plasma parameters.
