Objective:
To identify a rare allele in the FGA locus in a Hainan Li ethnic family.
Methods:
Short tandem repeat-PCR (STR-PCR) and DNA sequencing were used to detect the allele.
Results:
A rare allele in the FGA locus was identified. It is FGA-13.
Conclusion:
This finding enriched the gene polymorphism database, and may improve the ability of individual identification.
