[Imaging methods (ecography, optical coherence tomography) in rhegmatogenous retinal detachment]

Abstract:
In rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, clinical examination is usually sufficient in its diagnosis. Ocular echography is helpful only when ocular media have had lost their transparency so the positive and the differential diagnosis can be done. Optical coherence tomography-OCT-is not useful in rhegmatogenous retinal detachment diagnosis, but appreciates in detail retinal anatomy before and after retinal surgery, being valuable over visual prognostic.
