Abstract:
Actually in Luxembourg law, article 43 from the law dated 28th August 1988 about the medical centers and articles 40 to 44 of the professional code of ethics of the medical professions are dealing with the issue people's end of life situations. Except article 44 of the before-said code stating the principle according to which the physician has to take into account the wills expressed by the patient with regards to his end of life, there are no legal texts defining the ruling of the advanced directive. The legislator has set into place a bill of law (doc.parl.5584) dealing with the issue of advanced directive and the support giving at terminally ill patients.
