[Effect of polymyxin M on intestinal microorganisms of gnotobiotic chicks]
Abstract:
The effect of polymyxin M on the microflora artifically introduced into the digestive tract of gnotobiotic chickens was studied. It was found that polymyxin M caused dysbacteriosis in the digestive tract. Reduction of the impaired biocenosis after discontinuation of polymyxin use was rapid and practically complete.
