The effect of decrease in serum nitric oxide concentration on portal hemodynamics after Helicobacter pylori

Eradicating Helicobacter pylori infection significantly lowered serum nitrate and nitrite levels in liver cirrhosis patients. This reduction may positively impact splanchnic hemodynamics, particularly in those with esophageal varices.
