Varicose veins along the sciatic nerve (SN) cause significant nerve pain and symptoms. Treating these incompetent veins offers substantial symptom relief, with manageable recurrence rates.

- Treatment (ligation, phlebectomy, sclerotherapy) provided symptom relief or improvement in 17 out of 19 treated limbs, with manageable recurrence.

- Reflux in sciatic and tibial nerve veins is a common cause of significant neuropathic symptoms.
- Treatment of these varicose veins effectively alleviates symptoms.
- Recurrence or residual varicosities can be managed effectively.
