Microscopic colitis associated with omeprazole and esomeprazole exposure

Proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole/esomeprazole may cause microscopic colitis. Stopping these drugs resolved symptoms and normalized biopsies, with recurrence upon re-exposure, suggesting a link.
